A Little Woman

Materials:
small amounts of yarn in red and white (or colors of your choice)
matching crochet hook

With white, make a chain as long as you want the garland to be, fasten off.

Join red a few chains over from the start of you chain (ch 3, sl st in the same chain) twice, fasten off. This makes one heart.

Work hearts evenly spaced across chain (skipping 15 chain between hearts works well but you can space them as close together or as far apart as you wish).

When all the hearts at the top of the chain have been worked, flip the chain over and repeat the process. You now have hearts on either side of your chain.

Here is a pattern for a crocheted heart it is cute glued to a card. You can also make it into a pin.

Ch 2.
ROW 1: 2 sc in 2nd chain from hook-2 sc.
ROW 2: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in each sc across-4 sc.
ROW 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in last sc-5 sc
ROW 4: Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, 4 dc in next sc, sl st in next sc, 4 dc in next sc, sc in next sc-11 st
Do not turn, pivotto work around lower edges of heart, work sc evenly spaced around lower edges of heart, working 2 sc in lower point; join with sl st in first sc of Row 4.
