These are the upcoming Bright Lights conferences for this summer. If you’re going to be in the area or know someone who will be, you should look into coming. The conferences are excelent! Strong in the Lord is for girls ages 8-14 (older girls are welcome) and Radiant Purity is for girls ages 12-22+ The topics are:

We all enjoyed the Nebraska Christian Home Educators Association’s conference a few weeks ago. Spencer was in the Leaders in Training group, Hanna attended as a child and I got to help lead a group. We were the preschool group – very fun. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures, but you can watch the slideshow on Wissmann’s blog. We are praying for our friends the Aernis, who are in India adopting their daughter, Punya. Their website is here. Please take a moment to pray for them – they will be meeting Punya on Monday.

Also, if you didn’t get to see any of Summit this year you should go to Karyn Purvis’s website and check out some of her videos working with hurting children. Good stuff!

True Fasting

Lots of wonderful speakers… discussing how we all have a responsibility to help with global orphan care…come join us!

HE is risen!!

How amazing is it that we serve a Lord who would die for us-and more than that who is risen and has defeated death?

What a wonderful Savior!

“When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee…’” {Mark 16:1-7}

“…in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” {Romans 8:37-39}
