We brought the iron, wax paper, crayons, a pencil sharpener, and string when we visited Grandma K and made this fun and easy project.
You just peel the crayons and sharpen them letting the shavings fall onto a piece of wax paper. Keep sharpening until the crayon gets too small.
When the wax paper is not quite covered, put another piece of wax paper on top and iron. You will want to have something you don’t mind ruining underneath when you iron, because the crayon will come through the wax paper and turn it pink. Then trace and cut out hearts. We used sewing thread to hang them.
I would also make sure to clean the iron off before using or you will get little bits of crayon on whatever you iron next (and they don’t wash out=).
A Little Woman
“It was a cheerful, hopeful letter, full of … fatherly love …’I know… that they will be loving children to you, will do their duty faithfully, fight their bosom enemies bravely, and conquer themselves so beautifully that when I come back to them I may be fonder and prouder than ever of my little women.’”I am a 15 year old Christian, home schooled young lady, desiring to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. I pray that my blog is a reflection of that desire.
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death... Philippians 3:10
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14
